In the Sunriver, Oregon region, snow is usually available from mid-December to mid March.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF THE DAY TO SNOWMOBILE?
The best time to go snowmobiling is first thing in the morning when the snow is fresh on the ground.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO GO SNOWMOBLING?
Warm clothes is recommended. This includes warm socks, long johns, snow pants, sweater, snow boots and a waterproof snow jacket. Mountain Madness Rentals does not provide clothing for snowmobiling. CAN WE RIDE DOUBLES?
At this time Mountain Madness Rentals only offers Single seated snowmobiles.
WHERE ARE SOME POPULAR PLACES IN SUNRIVER TO GO SNOWMOBILING?
There are MANY places in the Sunriver/Bend area to go snowmobiling. Some of the more popular places include the Mt. Bachelor trail systems, Edison snow park, Wanoga snow park, Dutchmans Flat snow park, Elk Lake Resort, Moon Mountain, Three Creeks area, Paulina Trail systems and Paulina Lake Resort.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE 700cc, 600cc and 550cc POLARIS SNOWMOBILES?
"CC" stands for cubic centimeter. It refers to the volume of Air and Fuel mixture intake in a cylinder bore. The larger the number, the more power and performance.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW REGARDING THE EASY RIDE-ON/RIDE-OFF TRAILER?
The Easy Ride-On/Ride-Off Trailer uses a standard 2 inch ball trailer hitch. There is a 2 sled minimum in order to use the trailer. Bring your vehicle to our facility, connect the trailer to your hitch, and take off to your desired destination.
WHAT IF I'VE NEVER RODE A SNOWMOBILE?
All individuals will receive full operating instructions before riding. Please read the following article regarding How to Drive a Snowmobile.
